I agree 100% with what Dave said. I have gone to 3 bounty tournaments now and I have yet to leave thinking "Wow, so and so was a jerk". I haven't met a single person that made me feel unwelcome. So without a doubt we are going to try to show the same hospitality to everyone that comes over the mountain for the next bounty tournament
Speaking of the next bounty tournament.. I can't wait.. can we have it like.... next weekend? _________________ God blessed me with a quick wit, but cursed me with a stuttering problem |

Congratulations to Billie and Dave for bringing the Bounty trophy to Knoxville! Our players were hungry for the title and now its ours. Thanks for bringing it home. Great tournament. Sgt. Peppers was a fine place to play. Hats off to the management and staff there.
Fortunately smack talk will get you nowhere in poker. I always let my game do the talking. I let those I play make their own judgements. I choose not to brag or let EVERYONE know when or how many tourneys I've won.
Knoxville has bragging rights thanks to the strong finish of the dynamic duo.

How many players where in the bounty tournament? I guessed around 210. _________________ God blessed me with a quick wit, but cursed me with a stuttering problem |

The official count was 178 players from 7 different leagues and that includes 2 Poker Pros and a partrige in a pear tree. Hey Titan, How'd that ham sandwich trick work out? _________________ Remember: Only good players get bad beats... |

There is apparently some confusion with the Morganton players. They seem to think that they were the title holders of the bounty champions last since the trophy was in Night Owls.
It was only there because it was relocated there when the office was officially moved. Just because it was sitting there doesn't mean it was earned, as Jeff will confirm.
Many Morganton players have told me they were going to "come get it back"....well, sorry, but you never had it. You ALMOST had it this time, but we refused to let that happen. You have some VERY talented players, so come get it...if you can But you're gonna have to EARN it, this time.

Isn't it amazing... Nowhere have we heard a word from Clay... I hope he didn't fall off the planet or something. No hard feelings Clay even if you do think the Knoxville TD plays bad poker and that you hope the Knoxville players don't play like him, I bet you do hope that since he's the current Co-Champion... |
